I wish that I could tell you all that god has planned
but if I was to tell you, you wouldn't understand
but one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er
i'm closer to you now than I ever was before

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time
it was always my philosophy and i'd like it for you too
that as I give unto the world, the world will give to you

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and in pain
then you can say to god at night, my day was not in vain
and now I am contented that my life has been worthwhile
knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low
just lend a hand to pick them up as on your way you go
when you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind
i'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind

And when it's time for you to go
from that body to be free
remember you're not going
you're coming here to me

Way up in the clouds high above
are beautiful angels full of love
they think of their loved ones every day
and send them peace as they kneel to pray
they say a prayer for those below
who deeply love and miss them so
they vanish all their emptiness and fears
although there is a distance they are by our side
they have seen the emptiness and the tears cried
they are always near and always will be
alive in our hearts today and for eternity

The hand on the clock keeps moving
and each day turns into night
my life moves on without you
but this I have no choice...
I sit and watch the world go by
a world I no longer want
I wonder what the point can be
without you by my side...
Then as my heart begins to sink
I remember the time that we had
how special each day was to us
filled with fun laughter and hope...
It's at that point I understand
why I am here and you are not
god needed someone special
that's why he called your name...
My life is still yet to come to an end
the reasons are clear to see
I still have a very important job to do
to keep your memory alive...
So many people yet to show
just how special you really are
to teach them what you lived for
and help them on their way...
When at last my duty is done

~~ The Colours Of Friendship ~~

Once upon a time...
The colours of the world started to quarrel
all claimed they were the best,
the most important, the most useful
the favourite

GREEN said...
Clearly I am the most important
I am the sign of life and of hope
I was chosen for grass, trees and leaves
without me all animals would die
look over the countryside
and you will see that I am in
the majority

BLUE interrupted...
You only think about the earth
but consider the sky and the sea
it is the water that is the basis of life
and it is drawn up by the clouds
from the deep sea
the sky gives space and peace and serenity
without my peace you would all
be nothing

YELLOW chuckled...
You are all so serious
I bring laughter, gaiety and
warmth into the world
the sun, the moon and the stars
are all yellow
every time you look at a sunflower
the whole world starts to smile
without me there would be no fun

ORANGE started next to blow her trumpet...
I am the colour of health and strength
I may be scarce, but I am precious
For I serve the needs of human life
I carry the most important vitamins
think of carrots, pumpkins
and oranges
I don't hang around all the time
but when I do, I fill the sky at
sunrise or sunset
my beauty is so striking that
no-one gives a thought to any of you

RED could stand it no longer so he shouted out...
I am the ruler of all of you
I am blood...life's blood
I am the colour of danger and of bravery
I am willing to fight for a cause
I bring fire into the blood
without me the earth would be
as empty as the moon
I am the colour of passion and of love
the red rose, the poinsettia and
the poppy

PURPLE rose up to his full height...
he was very tall and spoke with great pomp
I am the colour of royalty and power
kings, chiefs and bishops have always chosen me
for I am the sign of authority
and wisdom
people do not question me, they
listen and obey

Finally INDIGO spoke...
Much more quietly than all the others
but with just as much determination
think of me I am the colour of silence
you hardly notice me
but without me you all become superficial
I represent thought and reflection
twighlight and deep water
you need me for balance and contrast
for prayer and inner peace

And so the colours went on boasting
each convinced of his or her own
superiority
their quarreling became louder and louder
suddenly there was a startling
flash of bright lightening
thunder rolled and boomed
rain started to pour down
relentlessly
the colours crouched down in fear
drawing close to one another for comfort

In the midst of the clamour
RAIN began to speak...
you foolish colours, fighting
amongst yourselves
each trying to dominate the rest
don't you know that you were
each made
for a special purpose
unique and different
join hands with one another
and come to me
doing as they were told,
the colours united and joined hands

The RAIN continued...
form now on when it rains
each of you will stretch across
the sky
in a great bow of colour
as a reminder
that you can all live in peace
for a RAINBOW is a sign of hope and tomorrow

well just had ya mam on th phone its made my day, gona go nd see her mon after a take megan to school she wants me to go through some ov you things with her... its gona break my heart but she wants me to nd a said a will!!

an an angel was needed up above,
and you were filled with god's own love,
it must have been hard to let you go,
but it was your time and this you knew,

A life so full of hope

Barefoot upon the gravel

Just to see your face again
